School Dance 4

The eighth grade dance was definitely the best dance by far! Everyone had such a great time, just chilling out with friends and having limbo and hula-hoop contests, along with a conga line! Most of the girls were crying because we were either happy to be going to high school or we were sad because we weren't going to see each other as much anymore with different classes. Just leaving middle school is enough to make me cry, :cries: along with some of the tougher guys in the grade. It was really a sight to see... The jocks all crying on each others' shoulders and hugging... Wow... But we all promised to stay friends in high school no matter what and to always have each others' backs. In this picture, there are only a few of the many wonderful, amazing, and funny friends that I love and live for. Good luck next year guys!

Finally back home...

Yep, my wondrous vacation to Florida has sadly come to an end as of Friday at 9:37 am... But it was amazing!

It was my sister, my dad, his girlfriend, and her 2 daughters that went down. We stayed somewhere just a few minutes outside of Disney World and we had 5 day park-hopper tickets. We had 6 days there, though, so we spent one day at Universal Studios.

On Wednesday night, after we had our graduation, a few of my friends and I decided to chill out at :iconkrazedgerl32145:'s house for a little. We had pizza and soda and stuff. It was really awesome! We were gonna try and watch a movie, but we were all too buzzed from the soda to sit still. So our other friend, Dennis, came with his little sister because he had his graduation the night before at his school. His little sister seems like the cutest little thing in the world... then she turns EVIL!!! xD I think she knows a little TOO much for her age... lol. But she likes me because I help her torture Dennis, which is a good thing.:D But I had to get going because I had to leave for Florida the next day. :excited:

So Thursday, we were all running around the house, trying to get everything packed, cleaning the house, making sure the cat doesn't destroy anything while we're gone... He's insane... I swear he switched brains with a dog or something! He begs for food at the dinner table, he drinks out of the toilet, and he plays fetch! :jawdrop: So strange, right? But anyway, we left that night around... maybe 5 o'clock to eat some fast food and go pick up my dad's girlfriend. We had to wait for her youngest daughter's graduation to end because it was the night we were leaving. xP But when she got back to her house with her sister and her mom, she runs to the mini van we rented and hangs her tassel from the mirror. We were gonna leave after they all changed into comfy clothes for the ride, but it started POURING rain and we couldn't get out to the car with all their stuff!!! So we waited under their little over-hang thing until it cleared up some and we ran into the car. As soon as we got in, it started pouring rain again!!! xD

Anyway, we drive straight from here to Florida, except for a few potty-stops and an hour for my dad to take a nap since he was driving all night. We finally got to the place we were staying around 2:30 on Friday, but we weren’t allowed to check in until the maids were done cleaning the rooms, so we went to one of my favorite places- Walmart- to get some food for breakfast because we were gonna eat lunch and dinner in the Disney parks or something. So after we got a bunch of bagels, cereal, and nutty bars, we went back to where we were staying and started unpacking. I was SO glad they had a dish washer and a clothes washer and dryer!!! That meant less work for me! xD *clears throat* back on topic now… Well, after unpacking and stuff and just getting situated, we decided to try out the pool. It was probably 7 or 8 at night when we went swimming, but the pool felt like bathwater! It was so warm! Easy to get into and everything, but it wasn’t really refreshing at all. At least there were parts in it shallow enough for me to stand up in without having to crane my neck or something! ^^; lol.

The next day, we went to Animal Kingdom. It was really funny because I am TERRIFIED of the people who dress up like the characters from movies, even mascots at football games! But my sister forced me to get a picture with the raccoon from Pocahontas. I was freaking out on the inside, but I kept my cool long enough to let my sister get a good picture. Anyway, we went on the Jurassic Park ride and the new ride Expedition Everest. I won't ruin the rides by explaining them, but they were AMAZING! And the one show, "It's a Bug's Life," ... *shivers* that ending is disturbing. Not gonna say anything though. It's a fun little surprise that a bunch of the girls screamed at... including me...^^; But the tree of life in the middle of the park is pretty cool. You have to look carefully, but there a a bunch of animals engraved on the tree. It's really something to see. But there are MONKEYS!!! Not even kidding, real live monkeys in the park! There was a little baby one, too, and it was probably really hyper! It was swinging from the ropes and everything... *sighs* it was adorable.

Since Animal Kingdom is kind of a small park and we did basically everything there, we went over to Hollywood Studios. We went into a few of the shops and everything, but I didn't get anything at first. But we were gonna get on the Tower of Terror... obviously, as soon as the elevator doors open, I chicken out and some guy had to show me the way to the exit... It was kinda funny. So when the ride was over and my sister, my dad's girlfriend (Lisa) and her daughters (Kim and Brittany) came out, they were trying to convince me that the ride wasn't that bad. I didn't buy it, though.

After that, me, my sister, Kim, and Britt went on the Rockin' Roller Coaster! It goes really, really, REALLY fast! It's like, 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds! It counts down when you're about to move, and it just takes off like a rocket! I'm not gonna ruin anything about the actual ride besides that and the fact that it... well, takes your picture as soon as you shoot off. lol. I got this cute purse... *slaps self for using the words "cute" and "purse" in that order* but it's cool *pats self on back for using correct terminology* because it's a guitar and the strap is the neck of a guitar. I really like it! It was like, $30 or something, but I normally NEVER buy a purse.

Next, we decided to do a slow ride and we did the Chinese Theater thing, but they were having technical difficulties and we got stuck at the Casablanca scene... xP I think I memorized the scene for the next couple of days until we got stuck on "It's a Small World", but that's a story for another journal. And... hm, I don't really remember much else from that day... except that I bought a Nightmare Before Christmas pajama set for $35. It's really neat looking. I don't think I would have seen that anywhere else and since it's my favorite Disney movie, I just HAD to get it. Just like I saw a mug with jack Skellinton's face on it, I didn't get it right away, but I got it when we came back on another day.

Oh yeah, we went to this animation studio thing and it showed you how characters in all the Disney movies get developed over time and how much time and effort goes into making the characters. It shows you this little 10 minute movie thing and the lady leading the show was talking with Mushu from Mulan and he was acting all funny. It was like, a full conversation back and forth between them and... I don't wanna ruin anything else. lol. But then you can go and look at an artist's workplace on display and everything. I was talking to my dad and I was asking him, "Can you see me sitting in one of those desks when I'm older?" and he just goes "Yes, believe it or not, I do." I really want to get into animation and character development when I get older. Maybe for TV shows since they tend to last longer than movies do and I can get more in touch with characters that I make. But anyway, there was this art class that lasted for about half an hour and it shows you how to draw one of the Disney characters. The person who leads it chooses a character at random and shows you how to draw them. Ours was Goofy and mine turned out pretty good. My sister's was hilarious! It said that you had to draw an oval beneath his eyes for his mouth or something, and she drew it SO small! The bad thing is there are no erasers on the pencil they let you use and she couldn't fix it. But then when you went out, there was a gift shop and I got a book that shows you how to draw the main Disney characters like Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Pluto. It was really a lot better than I thought it was going to be.

Well, since I am WAY too tired to write about any other day since I just wrote this long thing, I'm gonna stop. Also because you're probably tired of reading my random ranting about my vacation that you did not go on... and your jealousy is slowly consuming you... wow that was creepy... lol.

I'll write more later on, k? *gets wide-eyed/scared stares from people reading this* I LOVE YOU TOO GUYS!!! :glomp:  Write more later! Peacels outels! :peace:
